Key responsibilities:

As Executive Support Officer, you will provide efficient, professional and confidential support to the executive within the Housing and Homelessness Services leadership team as listed below:

  • Keep abreast of current issues which may impact on the service area and report finding to the executive.
  • Quality check correspondence, submissions, briefing notes and reports and provide advice to business areas where changes/clarification is required and seek ways for continuous improvement.
  • Actively review and manage work priorities and deadlines within the service area on a daily basis.
  • Screen incoming calls and effectively manage queries and redirect calls to relevant business areas where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and manage administration support activities across the service area, including quality assurance processes for correspondence, meeting papers and briefs, travel and itinerary arrangements and corporate card reconciliations.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships within Housing and Homelessness Services, the service areas of the department, other State Government agencies and external stakeholders to enable consultation, liaison, and negotiation of priorities.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Executive Assistant on executive support and general administrative tasks.
  • Contribute at a highlevel to a culture of client services, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in the delivery and coordination of the unit's business functions and undertake strategic projects as required. by providing project management and administrative support.
  • Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of daytoday operations.
