We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager for our Brisbane based utilities business performing a significant Urban Utilities Capital Works Program.
This will suit someone who has a genuine passion for driving a culture of HSEQ ownership, teamwork and leadership across multiple sites and projects.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Reinforcing and driving the business HSEQ strategy from the ground up
- Adapt HSEQ strategy to align with client requirements
- Providing HSEQ leadership, ensuring compliance with legislative, client and internal management system requirements
- Day to day management of a high functioning HSEQ team and coordination of deployment schedule in line with program requirements to ensure adequate HSEQ coverage
- Streamline systems and processes to meet program risk profile and client requirements
- Liaising and reporting directly with client HSEQ personnel to ensure requirements and expectations are exceeded
- Identifying and providing guidance on training opportunities to further develop our work force
- Planning and coordinating HSEQ assurance activities to identify and evaluate conformity and opportunities for improvement
- Providing leadership support across risk framework
- Lead critical investigations and oversee all incident management requirements
- Driving improved performance by identifying trends, analysing statistics, preparing reports and implementing compliance initiatives, identifying and addressing risk
How you'll connect to the role:
- Relevant Qualification in Health, Safety, Environment or Quality related discipline
- Hold a relevant Lead Auditing Qualification
- Hold ICAM lead investigator certification or equivalent
- B Competent in maintaining an accredited HSEQ management systems
- Relevant experience in the industrial construction industry, preferably Water/Wastewater
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams
- Proficient in report writing, presentations and client facing interactions
- Proven ability to lead, develop, engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organisation
