The Position

Through its Hort Frontiers 2.0 program, Hort Innovation is embarking on significant investment transformation that will focus on high-impact commercially oriented investments.

By 2030, the Hort Frontiers 2.0 program will unlock a staggering $500 million of investment opportunity through new and diverse delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities**:

This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to:

Spearhead the Hort Frontiers 2.0 investment program
Provide a unique opportunity within the Australian Horticulture industry to contribute to R&D innovation and forge new investment partnerships on a global scale
Take a lead on commercial research investment in Australian Horticulture, with a sustainable approach to supporting grower prosperity and sector growth
Engage from the paddock to the boardroom, you will collaborate closely with industry stakeholders and the Hort Innovation team to implement a ground breaking investment framework, attracting international investors and commercial partners.

The Person
We are keen to hear from you if you have the following skills, experience and key attributes:

A proven track record in developing strategic accounts or partnerships, ideally with large global enterprise customers, preferably in agriculture
Possess a strong commercial orientation which is crucial as this is the key foundational skill set
Experience leading teams as this role also presents the opportunity of building a team to support the delivery of new investments
A passion for driving sustainable impact in Australian horticulture is essential for success in this role
You will thrive in a fastpaced, highgrowth environment, embracing the challenge of navigating grey spaces and contributing to building something significant
Comfort with new and evolving technology, particularly those revolutionizing the marketplace will be highly valued
Experience in the startup ecosystem would be an asset, and a strong customercentric philosophy is a must.
