HR Business Partner
If you've been waiting for an opportunity in the resources sector working directly with site this could be it


Whilst ideally this role has an attractive FIFO roster of 1 week in Perth and 1 week on site (4 days), there is an option for this role to be Perth based role with a couple of days on site a fortnight.

This is initially a 3-to-6-month contract but opportunities do exist for extension or permanency down the tract.


It's an exciting time to join this mining company, with projects ramping up and a clear vision for the business and their people, an opportunity is now available for an experienced HR Business Partner.


You'll be reporting to the HR Operations Superintendent, providing support to the business leaders at site, and advice and assistance to the site based teams.

Ideally, you will have experience within the mining and resources sector and have exposure to project environments as well as operational human resources processes and practices.

A strong understanding of Industrial Relations and Employee Relations and relevant legislative frameworks is essential.


The role includes but is not limited to;

  • Provide effective and professional HR generalist and IR/ER advice to employees and leaders together with coaching and support
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and interpretation of HR practices, policies, procedures and legislation
  • Support the Injury Management Coordinator with workers' compensation claims, nonwork related illness & injury, redeployment, and fitness for work activities.
  • Provide accurate information for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in relation to IR/ER matters

To
be successful in this role you will possess;

  • Degree qualification in HR or similar
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably onsite in a mining or construction environment
  • Strong operational within the resources sector including managing employee grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills and common sense
  • Resilience and a positive attitude
