Our Legal, Audit, Risk CoSec Compliance & Sustainability (LARCCS) Division is seeking a Compliance Manager to join the team.

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager and focused on Perpetual's Corporate Trust division, this role will assist in maintaining and implementing the Compliance Framework to ensure Perpetual executes its strategy in accordance with all regulatory requirements and delivers good client outcomes.

Work with various stakeholders to implement all aspects of the Compliance Framework including:

  • Assist with issues assessment and breach reporting processes
  • Assisting with Compliance Plan Audit
  • Assist with maintaining the compliance plans of registered schemes including compliance plan adequacy reviews and management of compliance controls.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining group policies and frameworks
  • Provide objective and balanced advice on risks and compliance issues related to proposed business strategies and plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the business, regulators, industry bodies, external auditors and all relevant stakeholders
  • Provide, organise or participate in compliance training
  • Prepare reports to committees and boards in relation to compliance activities
  • Prepare responses to regulators, where applicable
  • Reviewing regulatory changes
  • Review marketing material prepared by the business to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience could include:

  • Law, finance, accounting or business degree
  • 5+ years' financial services experience in compliance or legal roles within asset management
  • Experience with compliance plans and compliance plan audit will be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Your agility and an enquiring mind will be key to be successful in this role
  • Ability to function effectively and productively within a team environment
  • Confident, enthusiastic, motivated, works well under pressure, takes ownership and responsibility of all matters and shows exceptional attention to detail.
