Join the Emergency Department within Flinders Medical Centre as a
Registered Nurse where you will provide care to our community with empathy, respect and dignity.


In this role you will be exposed to different patients and situations which will assist you develop your clinical skills and maintain professional standards of practice whilst being supported by quality management initiatives and organisational policies.

You will be working with patients and their families with multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds, recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.


As a Registered Nurse you will also provide supervision of Students, Assistants in Nursing/Midwifery and Enrolled Nurses as well as maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of a multidisciplinary health care team.


We are also seeking
Enrolled Nurses who will commit to delivering high quality and safe care that is person centred.

You will be aiding other members of the health care team to support the provision of care to individuals.

To be eligible for these opportunities you must be:

Registered Nurse:
- registered or be eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and
- hold, or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate together with demonstrated competence in emergency nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice;

Enrolled Nurse:
- registered or eligible for registration as an enrolled nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and
- hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. In order to administer medicines, you must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.


As this is a fast-paced environment it is essential that you have effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

You will need the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, as you use your creative, innovative and flexible approach to working with issues in a healthcare setting.
