The IDM Support team is part of the CISO branch, which manages the Identity, Access Management and Active Directory ecosystem for all identities in the NSW Department of Education.

They provide support for user access management and are focused on enhancing the technology stack, improving user experience and JML workflows while complying with security and policy standards.


About the role


The Manager, IDM Support manages a team of Senior Technical Specialists that supports the Department's Identity practice, services and data to meet business needs and align with industry best practice.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience.
  • A Valid Working with Children's Check

Key knowledge and experience

  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders with competing priorities and expectations, whilst ensuring consistent, high quality and timely project delivery.
  • Sustaining the integrity of current services while implementing new strategic initiatives, in a complex, and diverse environment which continually challenges the technical capability boundaries of both internal and external suppliers
  • Ensuring stakeholders sustained focus on enforcing and maintaining cyber security as a core principle their business operations
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

They should be highly proactive, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders in a large and dynamic organisation.
