First established in 1974, ELTHAM College's main campus is located in Research, in the leafy outskirts of Melbourne, in
the gateway to the Yarra Valley. In Year 9, students take part in our City Experience Program, basing themselves at our
city campus on Lonsdale Street.

Our Research campus comprise of approximately 100 acres of land - home to our school buildings for ELC - Year 12, an
environmental reserve, Performing Arts Centre, multiple sporting grounds, gymnasium, indoor pool, as well as the
Hospitality Training Centre and Swiper's Gully vineyard.

Students' experiences are supported by a technology rich environment, including an IT personal device program, STEM
labs, and an on-campus Observatory.

**Purpose of the Role
ELTHAM College is focused on significantly growing enrolments over the next 5 years and investing in strategic

marketing and engagement activities that align with our purpose of growing hearts and minds and helping our

community prosper.

This role is integral to the renewed focus on marketing for the College, with stakeholder engagement and philanthropy

being key streams of work.

The Stakeholder Engagement and Philanthropy Coordinator role manages, grows and supports key stakeholder groups,

***including families, alumni, students, donors and other friends of the College, as well as coordinating philanthropic

initiatives.

This role will coordinate a full spectrum of engagement and hey will work alongside other marketing, engagement,

communications and admissions team members to support the delivery of other relevant projects and campaigns, as

appropriate.

**Major Duties

  • 1. Stakeholder Engagement and Growth Develop and propose initiatives to improve stakeholder experience, streamline management and
governance, and grow meaningful engagement

  • Develop relationships and understanding of key individual stakeholders and stakeholder groups to
inform decision making, risk management, and provide insight towards successfully delivering existing
and new stakeholder activities

  • Coordinate key stakeholder groups for the College including, but not limited to:
  • ELTHAM College Community Association (ECCA)
  • Philanthropy Working Party (PWP)
  • Alumni Committee;
- and associated sporting and community clubs, and groups

  • Manage the daytoday operations of key parent/family associations and other groups including ECCA,
PWP and Alumni Committee, in consultation with the Head of Community Engagement

  • Provide expert guidance on the management and structure of other associated groups to the College
such as Friends of Music and Performing Arts (FOMPA), which are overseen by other areas of the College

  • Manage stakeholder information to keep up to date details in relevant databases and documents
  • Utilise communication channels to facilitate engagement and stakeholder growth (i.e. alumni on
LinkedIn)

  • Analyse, evaluate and report on stakeholder engagement activity and outcomes, in order to provide
insights towards continuous improvement of stakeholder management and delivery of outcomes to the
College

  • Build internal stakeholder relationships in order to support role and team deliverables.
  • 2. Philanthropy Coordinate and support activities related to the College's commitment to building an enduring culture of
philanthropy

  • Coordinate donorrelated engagement and communications activities, including stewardship, working
with the Head of Community Engagement, and other team members as needed and appropriate

  • Develop and pitch ideas to support the College strategy, specifically related to philanthropic
opportunities

  • Keep abreast of philanthropic trends and best practice, to support innovation and decision making
  • Analyse, evaluate, report on, and provide insights related to College outreach and fundraising activities
  • Build positive and effective relationships across the College including the Board, Executive, professional
and education staff, to support philanthropic activity.

  • 3. User Groups and Partnerships Coordinate and build relationships with community and/or other user groups of College facilities
  • Identify potential commercial and/or inkind partnership opportunities and benefits for the College
through the local environment (i.e. business, industry, Council, etc) and stakeholder networks
