About the Role

Reporting into our fabulous (and new) Head of Regulatory Engagement, this opportunity will see you support BOQ Group, at an enterprise level, in managing its interactions, engagements and communications with our key financial and prudential regulators.
Yes, this is a crucial role in our ongoing support to our senior leaders across BOQ Group, partnering with them on regulatory governance matters, and in all engagements with key regulators including recording of key points, relevant minutes, and any resulting actions.
- Responses to daytoday queries and request from regulators
- Preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders, including synthesising data and information into appropriate formats
- Preparation and management of onsite reviews by our regulators
- Responses to Regulatory actions and commitment
- Manage external relationships with Regulators
You will be involved with identifying key issues and themes, interpreting policy and articulating the findings in a constructive manner.
This also includes a requirement to understand the implications of what has been identified and the impact for the Bank, key stakeholders, and the customer.
About you
With experience in Regulatory Affairs, Legal or Auditing background, you'll bring sound knowledge of all things from a Risk and Regulatory Compliance landscape - yip, you get it.
We operate in a highly regulated, fast-paced (often tight deadlines) environment so we are seeking a strategic thinker who can think quick on their feet.
Collaboration and partnership come naturally to you, where you aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, participating and promoting cooperative working relationships across the organisation.
As a leader within the risk management space, you have the proven ability to work with any stakeholder - especially at senior level - working alongside them to reach a desired outcome.
You are familiar with the analysis and reporting of the regulatory affairs arena, and are comfortable presenting said findings to groups such as the Board Committee, Regulators and Senior stakeholders.
Other skills and experience we are ideally seeking include:- 3-5 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs, Legal or Auditing is desirable
- High attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Professional balanced approach
- Sound report writing and presentation skills especially at Board Committee level
- Ability to communicate in a clear and unambiguous manner and,
- Outcome orientated, with a clear understanding of customer requirements
