Area Overview


The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) is a Commonwealth-funded national research infrastructure facility within the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy program.

The ARDC is a transformational initiative that enables Australian research community and industry access to nationally significant, leading-edge data intensive e-Infrastructure, platforms, skills and collections of high-quality data.


Position Overview
Help us to improve national research infrastructure systems that support researchers making a difference in the world.


The Test Analyst is part of a small software development team based in Canberra who is responsible for the development, delivery and maintenance of web-based national services that support research data discovery, connection, publishing, sharing and reuse.

To assist the team in delivering quality outputs, the Test Analyst will provide the team with testing support and lead and deliver a wide range of testing activities that improve and mature the testing processes and practices of the team


The Test Analyst works under the broad direction of the Development Operations (DevOps) Manager who reports to the Director, Data Policy and Services.


The Test Analyst must be competent in working independently within a supportive environment whilst giving the necessary attention to detail and ensuring quality deliverables.

A highly collaborative approach is essential to engage with members of the team and other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.


To excel in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience developing manual and automated scripts to accelerate testing using multiple tools such as Selenium and Robot.
  • Experience in the development and design of automation frameworks and a solid understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Experience with or a demonstrated knowledge of DevOps and QAOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
