About the role:

Ventia are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer to join our team onsite at RAAF Base Amberley.

Are you adaptable, agile, flexible, and understanding? Get out of that faced past deadline driven factory environment and bring your skills to our defence facility where you are not rushed to get the next asset back to its customer.

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday between 7am - 3.45pm with a range of benefits including early clock off at 12pm on Fridays

Key Responsibilities:
_

As a Vehicle Trimmer you will fabricate, install, repair, replace or modify upholstery, covers and linings of tents, vehicles and equipment.

Additionally, you will also regularly work on large heavy industrial canvas fabrics.

Operate a range of equipment, tools, including hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and equipment.
Investigate material defects and reporting on unsatisfactory material and drafting reports
Operating plant and machinery to perform maintenance tasks.
Maintaining housekeeping of workshop areas.
Conduct all Vehicle Trimmer maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification.

_Key Skills & Attributes Include:
_

Hold a recognised Trade Certificate III of Proficiency (Vehicle Body
Trimming)
Demonstrated ability and experience to inspect and repair damage to motor vehicle trim and other fabric systems
Current Drivers Licence
Forklift License _Desirable_

You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
