Payroll Administrator

The opportunity
We are seeking a an detail-oriented
Payroll Administrator to manage and oversee Silver Chain's payroll processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring timely employee payments, and recording entitlements in alignment with relevant industrial guidelines.


Key responsibilities
The major accountabilities for the role of Payroll Administrator are:

Payroll Records Management:


  • Maintain accurate employee records in Silver Chain's Payroll system.
  • Ensure information accuracy for efficient payroll processing.

Payment Processing:


  • Process employee payments, including Workers Compensation and Superannuation contributions.
  • Handle Salary Sacrificing arrangements and disbursements.

Deductions and Reporting:


  • Administer Group and PAYG deductions.
  • Generate reports for key stakeholders, Finance, and the Audit committee.

Audits and Queries:


  • Conduct audits to verify payroll system entitlements.
  • Address payment queries promptly.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and obtained the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated payroll experience in maintaining large volume payroll processing and ensure
- accurate information is recorded.

  • Demonstrated understanding in award interpretation to provide reliable advice and support to the organisation.
  • Demonstrated analysis and problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to Business Unit
  • Manager and Employees to research and respond to queries in an effective and timely
- manner.

  • Developing knowledge of accounting processes, practices and legislation to assist business
- unit needs.

  • Welldeveloped communications skills (written, verbal and listening) to respond appropriately
- to queries and provide advice to Business Unit Manager and Employees.

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise
- work tasks.
