The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) is the largest Veterinary hospital in the Southern Hemisphere offering referral services across two Sydney locations.

We are privileged to have a wonderful team of Client Services professionals at SASH, coming from a diverse range of backgrounds and industries, and continue to experience a high level of growth across our network of hospitals.


About the Role:

This is a reception position like no other where no two days at SASH are the same.

  • Greeting of clients and organising waiting room workflow.
  • Coordination and booking of appointments
  • Liaison between clients and the clinical team
  • Handling of cash, EFTPOS and other payments
  • Requesting results, samples and other documents from third parties
  • Processing insurance claims
  • Varied shifts

About You:

This is a position that will be challenging and is not for the fainthearted.

We are looking for someone who can bring a positive, engaging and helpful attitude to the role and the team.


  • 4 years minimum in a similar, high volume receptionist position
  • Proven ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks accordingly
  • Passionate about animals and providing excellent customer service
  • Empathic and resilient
  • Clear and professional communication
  • A reliable, committed work ethic being able to demonstrate a resilient attitude
  • Professional and polished demeanour
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a veterinary/medical reception or similar administrative position
  • Previous experience in the use of EzyVet
  • An understanding of medical terminology, medical health professional organisations and relevant stakeholders.
