    Details

    : The Wellbeing Team in Policy and Cabinet Division, CMTEDD, is seeking a Policy Officer (ASO6) to contribute to the further policy development and implementation of the ACT Wellbeing Framework for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension or permanency. This is your opportunity to directly contribute to the policy thinking that will drive the Wellbeing Framework into the future.

    The successful applicant will play a key role in the Branch, with a focus on shaping the embedding of wellbeing thinking and practices in the way the Service operates, how we engage with the community and how the government considers wellbeing issues in its decision making.

    Wellbeing is an established part of policy development in the ACT and plays an important role in Budget decision-making. There is further work to seamlessly embed wellbeing into the business of government and policy thinking across the ACT Public Service to achieve strong wellbeing outcomes for the ACT community.

    The Policy Officer will report to the Assistant Director and work closely with colleagues in the Wellbeing Team, develop productive relationships across directorates and agencies and be part of our engagement with the ACT community as we continue to understand, consider and address wellbeing outcomes across the breadth of our community.

    Eligibility/ Other Requirements: The successful applicant will be able to apply analytical and creative thinking to understanding issues and developing practical and timely solutions and products (along with associated high-quality advice) in helping to shape the government's approach to embedding the Wellbeing Framework.

    Working collaboratively within the team, across government and with external partners will be critical to achieving lasting and well understood approaches to the consideration of wellbeing issues.

    Well informed and presented verbal and written communication will also be key to effective engagement and successful partnerships with stakeholders.
