The ANZ business, established in the early 80's, has experienced fast growth, increasing revenue by 50% over the past 5 years, with significant product innovation appealing to both domestic (retail) and commercial markets (aged care, social housing, multi-res developments).

Driven by a highly accomplished MD and ELT, the ANZ strategic plan aims to further grow the business over the next 4 years as the market acceptance of its exceptional products continues to expand.

The highly cohesive Executive Leadership Team and modern head office for ANZ is based in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs.


About the role


Reporting to the Managing Director for ANZ, this business-critical role will be leading a diverse team of nearly 50+ sales & customer service professionals across two main channels - retail and commercial, with revenues circa $70m across both segments.

The role will be tasked with building a more strategic partnership with the single biggest retail customer and identifying any underlying issues in the commercial trade channel, removing barriers to success, building a high-performance / can-do culture, and creating momentum in revenue and volume growth, CX and improving market share.

The role will play an intrinsic part in the leadership team with a core focus on sales & marketing but collaborate with and leverage strong internal relationships cross-functionally including supply chain & distribution, marketing & digital, executive & HR, manufacturing & R&D - all of whom are invested in the success of the ANZ business.

About the person


You will be an exceptional rounded commercial executive with a proven track record representing premium brands/products, ideally hardware, building materials or related residential/DIY categories that have both consumer and trade channels.

The role will require a balance of strategic thinking and capability (including analytical nous & the proven ability to execute effectively) along with a strong humanistic and hands-on leadership approach.

You'll have a clear track record of impacting bottom-line performance but more importantly be a highly engaging and dynamic leader, who builds capability through your people.
