Lifestyle Coordinator - Aged Care (Arabic Speaking)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, coordinate, and implement engaging lifestyle programs and activities for aged care residents.
  • Foster a warm and supportive environment that upholds Antiochian Care's values of Preciousness of Life, Compassion, Dignity, and Respect.
  • Establish meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff to create a sense of community and belonging.
  • Ensure that all programs are culturally sensitive and tailored to the needs and preferences of Arabicspeaking residents.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that integrate lifestyle preferences and physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
  • Document and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, understanding their unique backgrounds and life experiences.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in aged care and implement best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) or a strong willingness to learn the Arabic language.
  • Minimum of 1year nursing experience in residential aged care, preferably as a Welfare/Lifestyle Coordinator.
  • Possession of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or higher.
  • Exceptional adaptability and empathy, with a genuine passion for working in aged care.
  • Strong alignment with Antiochian Care's values of Preciousness of Life, Compassion, Dignity, and Respect.
  • A current Australian Police check.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of Middle Eastern culture will be considered an advantage.
