The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.


We have a
Maternity Leave opportunity available for a
Sales and Shipping Officer to join our Perth office, assisting the Sales and Shipping Manager with all Karara Mining product sales, marketing, sales reporting and coordinating shipping activities.


This is a maternity leave cover position offered on a 9 month Maximum Term Contract.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities;

  • Preparing product sales invoices
  • Monthly sales reporting
  • Managing export shipping documentation including Letter of Credit drafts, invoices and various export certificates
  • Preparing and managing sales contracts and documentation
  • Inputting, updating and maintaining information in MineMarket
  • Coordinating the shipping and document processing activities with customers
  • Manage customer payment schedules and updating cash flow reports
  • Proactively seeking out business improvement initiatives and process improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate the vessel nomination process with the port authority
  • Processing Letter of Indemnity and monitoring the discharge process for Cost and Freight shipments
  • Interfacing with customers and being first point of contact for incoming queries
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholder

Essential Qualifications and Experience;

  • A Bachelor or tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce or Shipping
  • Demonstrated background in sales and marketing within similar role
  • Mandarin speaking is beneficial
  • Previous experience in shipping within the mining industry is advantageous
  • Must have Australian Citizenship or hold a valid visa with permission to work
  • National Police clearance
