Junior Cyber Security Analyst - Entry level

  • 12 months contract role with the potential to go permanent
  • Bachelor/Masters/relevant studies in Cyber Security
  • Entrylevel IT carrier pathway
Our client is a WA state Government organization, looking for the next superstar in cyber security. You will be a committed and focused individual, willing to take direction and absorb information like a sponge.


The role:


  • Analyse specifications and projects to assess security risks
  • Review the effectiveness of information security controls and report actionable recommendations
  • Identify information security compliance requirements against key regulatory and industry best practice standards
  • Assist with the technical incident response for cyber security events and incidents, as well as assisting in coordinating business unit response and remediation
  • Assist with cyber security incident investigations
  • Assist in the delivery of information security awareness programs and develop organisationwide security awareness and cyberculture
  • Other duties as identified by the Director, Business Partners & Security.

About you:


  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and frameworks including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS
  • Interest in information security and data integrity
  • Understanding of global Cyber Security trends, attack vectors, and techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
