What you'll be doing


The primary purpose of the Organisational Development and Wellbeing Project Officer is to support the Organisational Development and Wellbeing (OD&W) team to achieve its business objectives.

The position will coordinate key OD&W activities for the District and provide support for the development of tools and resources to support ISLHD's staff and managers.

Key priority areas include, but are not limited to

  • Recognition and Reward
  • People Matter Employee Survey
  • Corporate Orientation and Induction
  • Workplace Wellbeing
  • Workforce Diversity
  • OD&W resource development and maintenance


Reporting to the Director Organisational Development and Wellbeing, the Organisational Development and Wellbeing Project Officer will work closely with the OD&W team, and broader People and Culture Directorate to deliver agreed outcomes in line with the District's annual priorities and strategic objectives.


All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant qualifications and / or demonstrated experience leading successful projects and achieving outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills, including the ability to develop, edit and proof read a variety of documents with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers/Executive.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills, including the ability to plan, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities and respond and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, including demonstrated ability to efficiently format and produce quality documents and preferably with experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts/challenges, use initiative and problem solve to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence (with ability to travel in accordance with position responsibilities)
