The company
We have been engaged to recruit a part-time Accounts Payable Officer for a real estate investment management group. They focus on developing and managing retail and industrial real estate assets. The business consists of a diverse range of complementary offerings and is enjoying a strong period of financial growth.


The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the organisation as an Accounts Payable Officer.

The purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and timely information is efficiently entered into the systems and to actively manage the financial requirements of a portfolio of property assets.


It will include duties from primarily AP duties to some AR/ad-hoc duties and there will be plenty of scope for growth and progression.

You will be part of a small team of high-performing professionals. You will be required to manage key relationships, both internally and externally, and across all levels. It is a diverse role that will partner closely multiple areas of the business.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage the AP (and some AR) for all the SPVs
  • Entering invoices, raising invoices, General Journals, Purchase Orders
and manage system rollovers

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Weekly banking
  • Vendor and customer setup in accounting systems
  • Assist finance team with external communications
  • Adhoc project work
In order to secure this position, you will be a hands-on AP Officer. You will be adaptable and place a strong emphasis on relationship building and business partnering across all levels.

The following will be favourably looked upon:

  • Tertiary accounting qualifications preferred
  • Relevant industry experience in a similar role, ideally within a property environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Systems/ERP experience
  • Stakeholder management experience across all levels
  • Deadlinedriven
  • Outstanding communication skills
