We have an opportunity for a Decarbonisation Manager to join our growing Sustainability team in this newly created role.


The Opportunity - About the Role


Reporting to the Group Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for providing decarbonisation and climate resilience advice and partnering with the business to drive climate actions including emissions reduction towards our Net Zero Carbon and SBTi targets, and management of our climate risks.

Responsible for analysis and reporting of emissions performance, working with business units to develop climate action plans, and enhancing emissions data governance and procedures.


Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Provide strategic advisory for emissions reduction, including Scope 3, and climate risk management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Deliver a community and environmental shared value proposition that enhances Stockland's reputation
  • Develop project and asset guidance, and minimum performance standards, that deliver a commercial value proposition for emissions reduction and manage climate risks
  • Integrate climate action plans, processes and strategic objectives into project and asset delivery
  • Coordinate and facilitate strategic programs of work across business units or project teams to ensure greater consistency in climate risk and emissions reduction performance outcomes
  • Coach, train and empower management teams and project leaders to deliver on environmental workstream objectives and targets
  • Contribute to team success by working collaboratively with own team members

About You

  • Property, environmental or sustainability related tertiary qualification is desirable
  • Property industry experience: master planned, land lease communities and / or commercial property
  • Experience working closely with asset and projectbased teams to achieve decarbonisation or resilience outcomes is preferred
  • Experience with and understanding of sustainability rating tools (Green Star/WELL/NatHERs)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and influencing skills with the capacity to achieve outcomes through collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to contribute to environmental and emissions data collection, measurement, analysis and reporting
  • Understanding of Life Cycle Analysis and or Material Flow Analysis
  • Experience of project management, strategic planning and program implementation
