This role provides outstanding opportunities for capable, self-motivated professionals interested in making a contribution to animal health and welfare, and the integrity of the Greyhound Racing Industry.


As a Steward you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting inquiries into alleged breaches of the Greyhound Racing Rules
  • Coordinating ontrack activities
  • Kennel procedures and inspections
  • Reporting and issues resolution
  • Sampling of greyhounds for prohibited substance detection

To be successful you will have:

  • A genuine interest in greyhound racing
  • Welldeveloped communication and facilitation skills, with the demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Good problem solving skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings, weekends and public holidays under shift provisions.
  • This role will be based in the Hunter region with possible travel other parts of NSW.
