We're looking for a passionate & self-motivated leader will make key recommendations and decisions in relation to Sustainable practices and government relations.


This role will see you drive the delivery and measurement of the
ANZ Sustainability Strategy that includes four key pillars - Resource Efficient Operations, Smart & Sustainable Farming, Good Food and Thriving Communities.


You will also provide leadership and direction for McCain
ANZ with regard to Company reputation, external communications, media, stakeholder and government relations, ultimately advocating on behalf of McCain.


About the Role

  • Drive the execution of the
    ANZ Sustainability Strategy, annual roadmaps and facilitate the periodic global reporting process
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to develop selling strategy and stories leveraging the company's sustainability work
  • Provide technical & strategic advice across the organisation on environmental issues, processes, and legislation
  • Review and monitor government schemes to determine potential financial benefits and work with relevant parties to access available funding opportunities
  • Drive education and awareness on sustainability issues, advocate on behalf of McCain, as well as representing the organisation at external meetings with politicians and policy makers
  • Draft government correspondence, prebudget submissions, position papers and policy language
  • Accountable for draft and submission of McCain Modern Slavery Statement
  • Enhance the reputation and equities of our brand by providing strategic counsel on communications strategies

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a Sustainability leadership role along with good understanding of the legislative, regulatory and public policy process
  • Proven experience working in a matrix environment and driving results through influence
  • Experience cultivating industry stakeholder groups industry, farmers and unions
  • Strong business acumen, communication, interpersonal, influencing and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Ability to think strategically but also take a handson approach when required
