Summer/Winter Solstice and the July Moon Cycle

Welcome to the July moon cycle with the full buck moon, the Summer/Winter Solstice and Neptune Station Retrograde. Things are revving up for the coming eclipse in August!

But before we get there what is this cycle about?

Firstly let’s talk Station Retrograde in Neptune.

From June 16th 2017- Nov 22nd 2017 Neptune will be placed in Pisces.

Time to look inward to find out what truly motivates you and realise that life is magical if you let it be or if you encourage and nurture it to be so.

It’s time to:

· re-align yourself

· re-believe in who you are

· re-connect with your soul self

· re-imagine who you are

· re-dream the life you want

· re-inspire yourself and others

· re-call all of your disconnected parts of you and

· remember that you are the Source energy on earth.

Are you really on track with yourself?

When we make a cycle inwards we usually do so in response to something outside of ourselves that is out of alignment. In the last few months you have been getting a handle on bringing about a new you into a new cycle (the first year of this 9 year cycle). You’ve been testing a few things to see if they fit – a bit like trying on new clothes or hair colour. The unconscious questions you’re asking are:

· Is this real for me?

· How will I make this work?

· Does the fit feel good?

· Is this where I really want to go in my deepest heart of hearts?

Neptune throws it all up in the air again for you to make sure, and to help you learn to trust your intuition implicitly.

Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, so when we say Neptune is retrograde in Pisces we have the perfect marriage of the ruler and star sign in harmony. This will amplify the qualities of Pisces for the next 5 months and as we go through the signs of Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio these signs will be influenced by the placement of Neptune.

There will be things you are familiar with and which are part of living memory because we have just moved out of an epic period of time in Pisces and so at a cellular memory level, this information is stored as well.

As a clue…

Look to the things that are not working around our world and your desire to see change in terms of re-balancing the earth, climate change, politics, financial institutions etc…. and then look to the dreams of Utopia. Are they far-fetched or now possible? What would it take to make these dreams come true?

Neptune is an outer planet and deals with the big picture rather than the personal everyday issues. It will impact on the big screen of life on the world stage and also in terms of how that big picture impacts on you. It will also have you asking the life questions, especially about your connection to religion, spirit, the universe and what role these issues have in your life. Healing your broken beliefs is also one of the aspects here.

If your religious beliefs no longer serve you, you may find yourself letting them go in search of something else or if you’ve had no connection to anything spiritual you may find this a time of awakening. Throughout will be recognition of wholeness and our connection. If we are one earth how are we going to live together in harmony and peace? How will we share the resources of our planet and can we do it peacefully and prosperously?

This week is also the Summer/Winter Solstice – the longest and shortest day of the year. Energetically this is a time of awareness and gratitude for our earth and the world we live in. To remember to celebrate all that we are so lucky to receive and to start thinking about how our dream can become reality. The time feels free flowing and exploratory, not quite solid foundations but more of an opportunity to take some of our ideas and look at making prototypes or models.

To top this off Friday brings forth the new moon in Cancer.

Cancer is obsessed with healing and nourishing your home environment emotionally. In particular this month focuses on and around the home you are and the castle you live in.

But…

· What is home to you?

· What does it mean?

· Who makes up home to you?

· Is it family, friends, neighbours or community or

· is it a more personal spiritual connection?

Focusing on these questions will help you become clearer on how you can align your spirit with your sense of home. Remember it is about your emotions, so what emotional responses are you holding that’s stopping you from getting a better understanding of what home means to you?

· Are you holding on to hurts and resentments?

· Would forgiving others help you have a more harmonious home?

· Can you forgive parents and siblings for past hurts?

· Are you playing a part in keeping the family and home unit dysfunctional or locked into addictive behaviours?

Emotions are designed to be felt and let go. Isn’t it interesting that the emotions of higher vibration such as joy or happiness we cannot hold on to yet the heavier emotions of resentment, anger, pain and hatred seem to hang around forever, continually feeding the hurts aspects of ourselves. Learning to let go of old and stale emotional states is what this period is about but it doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. Releasing old emotions can be done with a light touch as well and this moon placement seems to suggest this will be the case.

All of this is in preparation for the coming August Eclipse season.

The full moon hits on 9 July and falls in Capricorn. It will be intense and hot. Think a blacksmith’s forge here, rather than a heatwave (although it is also possible in the northern hemisphere!) Capricorn insists on getting to the heart of the matter and being practical.

So you might want to stay in the watery and emotional realms of wishes and illusions but Capricorn full moon will be insisting on something practical coming from all this heart energy. Be careful with who you speak to about your dreams as people will trample all over them without a second thought during this full moon.

So in summary…

1) Remember it is a time to sort out your dreams from your fantasies

2) Check your emotional responses to what home means to you

3) Let go of stagnant emotional responses to family and learn to allow your emotions to flow

4) Find out what you need to do practically to move you forward – it’s time to plan.
