Come Camping with Me to Fraser Island....

Come Camping with Me to Fraser Island....

Travelling in my own country is full of exciting experiences.
One of my fav destinations is Fraser Island (Australia)
It's the biggest sand island in the world and the most beautiful !

(I'm not biased) ( A lot of International tourists agree with me !)

You don't really need a run up to get on the barge if your 4WD has grunt...
But it's a great idea to take a sickie and go a day before the hoi polloi.

4WDriving
Crossing Eli Creek on Fraser Island where you need a 4WD as all the roads are sand - inland and on the beach by the surf.

Swimming
Lake MacKenzie one of 40 perch lakes with clean fresh water 100m above sea level.
Looks like a postcard ?     But I took it myself.

Time to go back to the Daily Grind
Waiting in line for the barge from Fraser to Australian mainland. Orderly, all paid up so no punch ups, before the rush !
The barge from the Australian mainland is coming to Fraser Island to pick us up to go home after the Summer holidays...

This sounds enjoyable, I have never camped on an island. I have so far crossed off my listed for a dessert, mountains, canyons, forest, and down a river.

Normally I would never tag all the whos who (important people) in a company or business or at work. Being bB I thought perhaps all of you would not mind. Please tell me if this is a problem. I was very disappointed as I spent a lot of time getting it right which I feel was wasted. I guess I should have done a test but didn't think about it. So I won't try ordering the pics again unless you can tell me it's fixed. And I re-learnt a valuable technology lesson - don't trust it till you trial it ! Cheer everybody and nice to meet you all! regardz Louise

Thank you Dean Owen. You may have to bring your own Danish bacon Down Under as we have strict import laws as Johnny Depp found out recently http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-04-18/johnny-depp-and-amber-heard-gold-coast-court-dogs/7333662

Despite the layout issues mentioned below, your post still makes me want to go! Love these travelblogs ! And the breakfast pic has gotten me hungry for some Danish bacon!

Juan Imaz, Hello Everyone, I wrote this directly into bB. I am very disappointed with the final layout of my post. As you see it here. I spent a lot of time resizing the pics so several could be in 1 line under the text across the page BUT when I published they are all underneath each other. Which I think looks awful and doesn't suit the storyline well. What did I do wrong? How can I fix this next time? Awaiting your guidance with thanks regardz Louise
