About Department
The Womens and Childrens ward at CGH includes a Level 4 Maternity Service with 3 birthing suites, a Level 4 Special Care Nursery, paediatric ward, public antennal clinic and Maternal and Child Health service; averaging 400 to 450 births per year.
About the Role
To assist the nursing leadership team to operationalise the core values of the organisation in support of effective management and professional leadership as part of an integrated health service. As the primary nurse/Midwife you are accountable for establishing and evaluating the patient's plan of care in partnership with the patient, their carers and other members of the health care team.
This will occur within the principles of care coordination, where patients/clients/residents have access to a highly coordinated health care and community support system.
