    This is an opportunity to join an established finance team as a Senior Payroll Officer, taking responsibility of the payroll function, process improvement & supporting system implementation. Reporting into the Director of Finance, our client is seeking a warm and empathetic professional ready to join a busy, supportive & value-based culture.

    About the role:

    • End to end payroll processing of 500 employees on two separate fortnightly pay runs.
    • Assist with analysing & interpreting weekly contractor/casual timesheets, addressing anomalies and/or irregularities.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, award & EBA interpretation and labour hire.
    • Ensure that all payroll processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Providing a high level of assistance with payroll enquires via in and outbound calls to candidates and clients as required.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Play a pivotal role in payroll process improvement, streamlining efficiencies & implementation of systems to support.

    About you:

    • 5+ years in senior & end-to-end payroll positions, processing new starters to terminations, superannuation, payroll tax and EOM reporting.
    • You have excellent service-based communication skills.
    • You possess a positive, solution-focused mindset.
    • You are warm, empathic, and value the meaningful work, for-purpose organisations do.
    • You have experience in interpreting awards, SCHADS award knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
    • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • You are confident using payroll software and programmes, Micropay is advantageous but not essential.
    • Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to interpret data.
