    • month contract – July 24 start
    • $150 – $200 per hour (inc-Super) – market estimate
    • ACT, VIC or WA address (ACT preferred)
    • NV1 Security Clearance required

    Our client, a large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on foreign signals intelligence, military operations, cyber warfare and information security, are Seeking the experience of a Network Security Engineer for a long month contract, based in Brindabella Business Park, Canberra.

    Responsibilities of the ICT Network Security Engineer

    • Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
    • Provide feedback on network requirements, including network architecture and infrastructure.
    • Provide feedback on maintaining network infrastructure devices and network backup and recovery procedures.
    • Integrate new system's into existing network architecture.
    • Diagnose network connectivity problem.

    Skills and experience required

    • Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts (MPLS, VRFs, VPNs), protocols (BGP, OSPF, ARP, DNS, DHCP) and security solutions (firewalls, WAFs, segmentation, IDS).
    • Experience in the implementation (systems engineering), maintenance (system administration) and effectiveness of security infrastructure and security solutions.
    • Experience in providing cyber security assurance and reporting activities.
    • Demonstrate skills in conducting network security risk assessments which involve evaluating an organisations networks security posture by identifying vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential threats.
    • Experience in performing architecture reviews to identify gaps in security, resulting in actionable recommendations.
    • High attention to detail with good communication skills with stakeholders and clients, and experienced in technical writing.
    • Experience with both public (Azure, AWS, GCP) and private (VMware, Nutanix) cloud environments.
    • Tactical, operational, and strategic level cyber threat intelligence skills.
    • Understanding of current challenges and opportunities in uplifting the cyber maturity of OT and ICS environments.
