    Description
    The opportunity:

    The Ocean Gateway Associate plays a critical role in Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone. Flexport today connects over 10,000 clients and suppliers across 109 countries. This role will work in a cross-functional environment, partnering closely not only with our forwarding partners, ocean carriers, trucking providers but also different teams across the company to achieve our common objectives.

    What you'll do:

  • Help to build operational performance framework, process and tools to measure our operations performance for China
  • Drive performance management of Flexport's freight forwarding, trucking, CFS, and customs partners, leveraging global performance metrics, targets, dashboards, and reporting to drive quality and consistency of operations.
  • Be a part of the team that sets performance targets to partner, local team and establish local governance cadence (such as QBRs, monthly reviews, weekly reportings) with top tier network partners
  • Be a trusted advisor and coach to local execution team; continuously identify gaps and develop solutions focused on process standardization for both the Flexport operations team.
  • Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination and escalate issues as needed with flexport internal teams.
  • Identify operations training needs and design and execute training programs to drive operational quality
  • What you'll need:

  • BA/BS degree with 1-2 years of Business Analyst or similar role in Logistics, Supply chain, or Consulting industry
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, as an analyst who refine and build dashboards and as an associate who implement and gather feedbacks from partners on performance metrics
  • Analytical skills and next-level attention to detail

  • Ability to travel locally, nationally;
