    The Area Meetinghouse Facilities Department is seeking to appoint an Assistant Facility Manager based in Melbourne, Australia. This is a permanent full-time position.

    The Assistant Facility Manager will provide assistance in the operations and maintenance of assigned church facilities and properties.

    Responsibilities will include identifying facility replacement and improvement needs, scoping replacement and improvement projects and preparing contract documentation. Assisting in conducting Building Quality Evaluations and scheduling preventative maintenance. Working with Key Stake Holders to developing 5-year plans and operational objectives.

    Under the direction of the Regional Facilities Manager this position also provides Facility Management services as required in Melbourne and around the Country assisting in the Development of policies, procedures, and processes to improve the performance of Meetinghouse Facilities.

    We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a bachelor's degree in management or related discipline or has undergone tertiary studies in management, or related discipline . design, construction, facilities maintenance.
  • Has at least three (3) years' experience in facilities management or construction or related industry.
  • Has a strong focus on customer relationships and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (including verbal and written) and a demonstrated understanding of the English language.
  • Strong understanding in using Microsoft products and the ability to learn new software.
  • Have knowledge of local Health and Safety practices and regulations (highly desirable).
  • Have knowledge of facility and property management, construction procedures, business practices, safety and fire codes are advantageous.
  • Uses wise judgement and has high integrity, manages self, works collaboratively, plans and prioritises, thinks, and solves problems and demonstrates accountability.
