    THE ROLE:

    These roles do not come around often Focusing primarily on technology and processes, you will deliver direction on security to the IT leadership team, specializing in all aspects of information security management, as well as business compliance using cloud-based services on a large scale.

    Your responsibilities will include, (but are not limited to) the following:

    • Full accountability for Platform Security across architecture, design and quality control
    • Provide expertise in the security domain used to shape the Digital Platform strategy, roadmap and approach
    • Lead and assist in engineering and design outcomes that produce production-ready systems
    • Train the DevOps and Architects to reduce dependence on the Security Engineer

    SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    Our client is looking for a candidate with a specialized skill set, to ensure the role is filled by someone who will be able to offer not only longevity, but confidence in their abilities. The successful candidate will have:

    • Extensive and demonstrated experience with large scale production environments
    • In-depth knowledge regarding AWS Well Architected Framework & Cloud Migration industry standards
    • Programming experience in at least ONE language (JAVA, Ruby, Python etc)
    • Extensive experience with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST/DoD, ASD Essential 8, COBIT.
    • Extensive experience with encryption in-flight and at-rest practices, as well as certificate and secrets management, security event & incident management (SIEM).

    Our client will also look favorably upon candidates who are AWS Certified in specialty fields such as security and solutions architect.
