    The Financial Services division, led by the Group CFO, partners with all areas of the Commonwealth Bank to provide financial control and specialist advice on financial management and strategy. This advice covers finance, audit, treasury, investor relations, security and property.

    Technology Finance is a specialist team that is responsible for the provision of financial control and management services to the Technology Division of CBA. The provide strategic advice, commercial and financial analysis to ensure optimal strategic decision making and operational excellence.

    We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their technology and operations costs and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans.

    Your team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team of approximately 90 people and provides business partnering and financial management services to Technologyand Business Unit CIOs.

    Your role is responsible for supporting the Networks Technology business within the CTO (Chief Technology Office).

    Your team makes an impact through:

    • Stakeholder management of the General Manager (Networks) and crew technology leads
    • Monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary
    • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
    • Supporting and forecasting business proposals through modelling, analysis and insights

    Key duties will include:

    • Stakeholder management across technology and finance
    • Driver based annual budget and rolling forecasts
    • Monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary
    • Financial modelling of business plans and strategic proposals
    • Involvement in ad-hoc financial analysis and broader insights to drive tangible value
    • Identify and assist in implementing ongoing process improvements
    • Contract reviews and accounting treatment
    • Financial control and balance sheet ownership

    We're interested in hearing from people who have

    • Broad stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
    • Strong accounting and financial skill with analytical and commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis
    • Attention to detail and quality and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
    • Advanced excel skills for financial modelling and analysis
    • Innovative mindset and desire to drive process improvements as well as excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills
    • Experience in supporting a technology function is desired but not essential
