    Parkerville Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated Cleaner In Charge (CIC) to join their team.

    The CIC is responsible for inducting, training, leading, and managing cleaning staff including relief staff; monitoring and ordering stock supplies within your budget; maintenance and stocktake of cleaning equipment; undertaking cleaning of allocated internal and external areas; opening and locking the college, including setting the security alarm system; and conducting twice daily hand over with the Manager Corporate Services.

    The successful applicant will ideally have good attention to detail and will be able to work well with others to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual. The successful applicant should work well both individually and as part of a team and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.

    Established in 1899, Parkerville PS has been offering families a quality education for their children for over a century. Growing from a one-roomed building in the heart of Parkerville before moving to the current location in 1962, the school is surrounded by the tranquil Jarrah forests synonymous with the Perth Hills area.

    To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to induct, coordinate and supervise the work of cleaning staff.
  • Experience in school or commercial cleaning.
  • Experience in the safe storage of cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals.
  • Ability to recognise and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets, equipment operating instructions, safety instructions and training guidelines.
