Salary: $108,236.96 to $121,256.99 per annum, plus superannuation and a nine day fortnight.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Improvement Manager to join our Strategy and Place Team
About us
Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the 'Bushland Shire', our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.
About the role
The successful applicant will work closely with the Manager Strategy and Place, Strategic Corporate Planner and Corporate Planning Officer to:
- Manage Council's Business Improvement Framework and lead and coordinate service reviews.
- Provide high level professional advice, guidance and support to managers on business and strategy improvement.
- Support the organisation in developing and reviewing projects in line with Council's Integrated planning and Reporting framework.
- Adopt innovative methods to develop, manage and implement change management strategies in consultation with Council staff.
- Ensure relevant compliance to government and organisational policies and legal and statutory regulations pertaining to business.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation and review of Council's organisational plans and business improvement process.
About you
The successful candidate will be a pro-active, enthusiastic person with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of business management and local government. Highly developed communication, negotiation and mediation skills are essential, as is the ability to problem-solve complex matters. To be successful in this role you will need to have tertiary qualifications in Business Improvement or a related field such as Business Management, Commerce, Change Management and/or extensive demonstrated experience within this field.
