    YHA Sydney Central is currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join the team on a Part Time basis. You will be the face and first point of contact for the Sydney Central YHA. In this busy and varied role, you will be utilising your amazing customer service skills to provide our members with the best experience whilst at the reception desk. You will be motivated and hardworking with the "can-do attitude" which will see you thrive in the role.


    Day-to-day duties include but not limited to:

    • Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere.
    • Answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations.
    • Checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in an enjoyable stay;
    • Ensuring property rules are adhered to and harmony is maintained.
    • Promptly responding to guest queries via telephone and email.
    • Resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.

    What we are looking for:

    • Previous experience in front desk reception or customer service and accommodation industry.
    • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
    • Flexible availability 24/7 roster including night shifts, weekends and public holidays
    • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
    • Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
