    Job Description

    We are recruiting for the key leadership role of Associate Professor / Professor in Prosthodontics.

    The Associate Professor / Professor in Prosthodontics is a member of the School of Medicine and Dentistry's academic team, and specifically will plan and lead specialist education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct research and undertake appropriate administrative duties.

    The Associate Professor / Professor in Prosthodontics will be a leading authority in their discipline and is expected to exercise a special responsibility in providing academic leadership and in fostering excellence in research, teaching, engagement and professional activities.

    They will support the Dean of Dentistry and the Head of School in implementing the School's strategy as it relates to learning and teaching and research, and will be expected to advance research-informed clinical education and research within the School.

    To be eligible for appointment as a Professor, you will have achieved international recognition through original, innovative and distinguished contributions to the field of expertise, which is demonstrated by sustained and distinguished performance.

    Applicants eligible for appointment as an Associate Professor will show evidence of original, innovative contributions to the field of expertise, and the drive to expand their sphere of influence through international research and scholarly collaborations.

    Depending on the educational qualifications and professional background of the successful candidate, the successful candidate may be appointed at either Associate Professor Level D or Professor Level E.

    This is a full-time, continuing position, based at the Gold Coast campus and it is an expectation of the role that the incumbent will attend campus to support and deliver didactic, simulated and clinical education.

    As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

    Salary Range
    The full time equivalent base salary will be Associate Professor Level D is in the range $159,740 - $175,985 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $186,896 - $205,902 per annum.

    The full time equivalent base salary will be Professor Level E, $205,768 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $240,749 per annum.

    • Possession of a specialist dental qualification and PhD or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline.
    • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
