    Benara Nurseries is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller to play a vital role in their ongoing success.

    Job Description

    As a key member of the Executive Team, this role reports to the Directors/Owners and is pivotal in shaping the financial direction of the company and driving sustainable growth.
    This role is responsible for strategic financial planning, coupled with comprehensive oversight of all financial, taxation, and legal matters concerning the business and its affiliated entities.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's objectives and long-term vision.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Executive Team to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
  • Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage financial reporting, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Optimize capital structure, manage cash flow, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Appraise purchases of major acquisitions including land, property, plant and equipment.
  • Oversee a major land subdivision project.
  • Partner with Operational Managers on divisional performance and recommend process and efficiency improvements. The Successful Applicant
