    The Role:
    Based in our Head Office in Doncaster, we are seeking an energetic and passionate Graphic Designer with approx. 3- 5 years' experience ideally within a commercial or manufacturing environment. This is a 12-month fixed term maternity leave position with the opportunity to extend.

    The role is fast paced and covers all elements of the marketing and design process from concept through to production. Reporting to the Graphic Design Manager you will be responsible for helping create and deliver exciting & effective visual communication solutions for each of the AMES Australia brands.

    • Ability to work within an energetic & fast paced team environment
    • Design and manage the production of catalogues, product packaging, labelling and other print material for multiple brands
    • Image editing and photography for use in various marketing materials
    • Create and maintain the various company websites, social media and online presence.
    • Liaise and communicate with various local and overseas manufacturers & suppliers.
    • If required develop visual band language and packaging style guide
    • Work collaboratively with Global Sourcing, Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to successfully launch products and branded ranges.

    Skills and experience

    We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and naturally creative Graphic Designer who is both a team player and results driven. In addition to your tertiary design qualification, you will have;

    • Experience designing and managing the production of various print materials such as, catalogues, packaging, POS displays, and labelling.
    • Extensive knowledge in creating and managing digital communication formats such as websites, social media, etc.
    • Ability to understand & follow project design briefs
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
    • Create both static & motion HTML5 banners that will be used to amplify marketing campaigns.
    • Adobe Creative Suite – illustrator, photoshop, Indesign, after effects
    • Some experience in structural packaging will be viewed favourable
    • Previous work experience within a commercial or manufacturing environment will be viewed upon highly.
    • Effective communication and influencing skills.
    • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and budgets.
