    The team is part of Moody's Global Relationship Management Group and is responsible for managing commercial relationships with customers. These customers include Financial Institutions, Corporates, Project & infrastructure and Sub-Sovereigns. The team also oversees all classes of structured finance transactions.

    The Role
    A highly motivated and professional Relationship Manager is sought to join Moody's Commercial team in Sydney.
    This position involves managing relationships with Moody's portfolio of customers in Australia and New Zealand, in alignment with our best-in-class service standards and tailored value propositions. Additionally, the Commercial group communicates the value of Moody's ratings, oversees the development and launch of ratings-based products, articulates pricing strategy, and manages all contractual terms with Issuers.
    This customer-facing role calls for an experienced Relationship Manager and proficient communicator, who is motivated to assist our customers with our array of rating products and related services. Previous experience in new business development is a plus.

    Responsibilities:
    • Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts within Corporate Finance and Project & Infrastructure Finance sectors.
    • Identify and execute new business opportunities within the assigned sectors.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of debt capital markets and monitor trends.
    • Independently manage all aspects of business relationships with customer accounts and intermediaries, with moderate supervision.
    • Deliver proactive customer service and a tailored value proposition.
    • Implement a structured customer calling program for the assigned portfolio.
    • Participate in ad-hoc internal projects as required.
    • Moderate travel is expected.
    Capabilities:
    • Solid understanding of financial instruments, key characteristics, and dynamics of capital and credit markets is required.
    • Ability to interpret financial statements to identify financing needs and understand the financial strategy of each account.
    • Capable of independently preparing and conducting virtual, telephone, and in-person meetings with customers at all levels.
    • Possess problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
    • Outstanding communication skills.
    • A team player with high levels of integrity, dedication and drive.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field such as accounting, business, economics, or finance.
    • At least 4 years of experience in relationship management or another related customer-facing position, preferably within the financial services industry.
    • Prior work experience in Corporate Banking or Debt Capital Markets is advantageous.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, is necessary.
