    About the job Payroll OfficerFyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning, and surveying services throughout Australia.

    About the RoleWe are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Officer to join our supportive and close knit.

    This is an ideal role for an individual who enjoys working collaboratively with others on a variety of work.
    The primary function of this role is to provide support with end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing.

    Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be working closely with a diverse finance team, HR department and the wider business.

    This role is offered as a permanent full-time position, however flexible working hours as well as part-time hours will be considered

    Key responsibilities include:
    Assisting with end to end payroll processing
    Assisting with managing shared Payroll email inbox
    Respond to staff queries within agreed timeframes
    Assistance with calculation and payment of all statutory obligations including Superannuation, Payroll taxes, Workcover and other Government agencies
    Assist with employee payroll set up, terminations, salary changes, superannuation and any payroll variations
    Provide back up and run payroll when Payroll Manager is on leave
    Conduct pay reviews and other internal audits
    Ad hoc payroll reporting as requiredAbout you
    Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
    Enjoy working in a team environment
    Previous experience within Payroll
    Experience using Chris 21 is desirable but not essential
    A keen interest in process improvement is desirable
    Good level experience with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
    Excellent time management and organisational skills
