    Economic Analyst, Planning and Infrastructure Economics

    Economic analysts play a crucial role in planning for the future of our cities and regions. They must understand how these areas will grow and which projects will enhance community wellbeing and prosperity.

    There are two main challenges when it comes to infrastructure development: balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic thinking. Our team helps plan for sustainable growth by developing and prioritizing projects that generate community benefits.

    Your Opportunity – Economic Analyst (Senior Consultant or Manager levels)

    We are seeking an experienced economic analyst to join our Sydney team, which focuses on energy and decarbonization, transport, and social infrastructure sector investments.

    • You will provide strategic advice to clients on infrastructure investments across various sectors, including housing, transport, education, health, and community infrastructure.
    • Undertake economic modelling and analysis, develop policies and strategies, and deliver feasibility studies and business cases for infrastructure investments.
    • Contribute to maintaining a positive team culture, which is essential to our success.
    • Participate in tailored learning and development opportunities and work with industry leaders to shape your growth and development at KPMG.

    Key Skills and Experience

    • You have recent experience in quantitative analysis, cost-benefit analysis, geospatial analysis, data visualization, and/or model development.
    • You possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written communication skills, combined with attention to detail.
    • You hold tertiary qualifications in economics, urban planning, commerce, business, law, public policy, or other relevant fields.
