    Senior Consultant

    As a Senior Consultant, you will independently lead and manage diverse and complex rewards projects, as well as champion professional excellence. You will also be responsible for developing market insights for your portfolio and actively contribute to our learning culture by coaching team members across the practice.

    This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Aon offices across Australia.

    What the day will look like

    You will be coached by industry thought leaders and technical subject matter experts. You will be supported by a team of client-focused and commercially savvy analysts and consultants. Together you will collaborate to design, enhance and maintain best fit reward strategy and programs for clients. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver multiple client projects across executive remuneration, employee reward and incentive design
  • Assist the industry leader in developing best in class content and market insight
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to integrate solutions to address client needs across our human capital solutions practice and broader People Solutions business
  • Develop and grow technical capability in Human Capital Solutions Advisory
  • Provide technical and strategic advice to functional heads, C-suite and Board stakeholders on complex people issues across industries

You would be joining a team of +130 people who are trusted advisors to boards and management across an array of specialist areas including governance, executive and broad-based reward strategy, incentive plan design, pay equity, compensation data, analytics and insights, people analytics, talent assessment, employee benefits, well-being, wealth solutions, workers compensation and employee health & safety.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in a similar hands-on consulting role, with expertise in executive and/ or employee rewards design and implementation. You would ideally have exposure to clients in energy, resources, infrastructure and/or property sectors, demonstrated by a good understanding of the remuneration nuances and challenges of these sectors.

    Being curious and be able to broaden capability across Aon's Human Capital Solutions offerings, we are also looking for:

  • Proficiency in position matching, job evaluation, executive and non-executive remuneration benchmarking, reward strategy, job architecture and pay frameworks
  • Ability to diagnose ambiguous problems using quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Ability to distil complex issues and ideas into clear, succinct thoughts and advice, using data and analytics
  • Ability to provide advice that is technically sound and strategically aligned to the client's organisation and people strategy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences including HR Generalists, Remuneration SMEs, C-suite and Board
