    The Director of Engineering will be an exciting and pivotal leadership role that will work alongside the Trideca CTO as their most trusted working relationship. The role will require a balance between technical acumen, strategic foresight, and ability to engage diverse stakeholders around often complex options. This individual will lead the design and guide the execution of sophisticated full-stack solutions, acting as a linchpin between the technical team and business stakeholders, including enterprise clients.

    To succeed in this role you will be technical, across a range of current tools and languages. You will have worked across technology from front to back and will have sound engineering skills that you can use as needed to resolve technical problems, build services and contribute to solution delivery as needed. You will be the sort of individual who wants to stay on the tools and keep themselves current while also seeking opportunities to lead others, lead strategy and drive wider change.

    This role will be ideal for someone with a sound background in web, mobile, and data platform delivery, that can lead, scale, and continue to advance best-in-class Agile, CI/CD and DevOps delivery practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Hands-on engineering, execution, architecture and solutioning
    • Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers to drive high-quality solution delivery within budgets and timelines.
    • Manage the design and implementation of comprehensive systems from the ground up.
    • Promote best practices in CI/CD and DevOps, increasing the quality and efficiency of our engineering efforts.
    • Engage with clients and stakeholders to lead estimates and understand business needs and how they can be delivered into robust technical solutions.
    • Communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a way that generates confidence and trust across a broad range of stakeholders.
    • Embrace new technologies to deliver cutting-edge, cost-effective solutions.
    • Support proposal development
    • Ability to Architecture AI, Data, Strategy Engagements, and Innovation

    Essential Skills and Experience

    • Solid experience in full-stack solution delivery, solutions architecture, and design.
    • Previous experience working within a technical consultancy environment, particularly supporting the Pre sales pitching and problem framing with clients and prospects
    • Proven ability in people management and leading and creating high performing engineering team to deliver complex projects.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
    • Strong client engagement and management experience, as a key point of contact when developing strategic projects
    • Expertise in cloud solutions across AWS and/or Azure.
    • A technical background in Financial Services, Energy, Health, or Government is advantageous.
    • Demonstrable presentation skills with experience contributing to blogs, LinkedIn, and engaging with the tech community through conferences and workshops.

    Qualifications

    • Typically a Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience or proficiency
    • A Masters degree would be desirable but also not essential.
    • Industry certifications in cloud computing, and architecture are advantageous.
    • Background in security, operations, service management advantageous
