    About the role

    We are looking for a Site Communications Technician to safely carry out inspections, scheduled maintenance, and breakdown maintenance of all Site Communication components.

    This is a great opportunity for an experienced Communications Technician to lead the way in ensuring that maintenance activities are of a high standard and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

    You'll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You'll work on an 8 and 6 roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

    Reporting to the Site Communications Supervisor, East Pilbara you will be:

    • Conducting inspections, scheduled maintenance, installation, and breakdown for part of the Mine Communications network E.g. Satellite, Analog radio, VMR, Fibre Network, Security
    • Conducting inspections, scheduled maintenance, and breakdown for part of the Rail Systems Infrastructure
    • Managing customer expectations
    • Working as a team member and autonomously
    • Identifying improvement opportunities
    • Ensuring that maintenance is of a high quality and re-work is not required
    • Utilising SAP to raise notifications, complete time confirm and enter reliability and maintenance activity information.

    What you'll bring

    • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
    • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
    • Trade qualification in Radio Communications, Electronic Communications or relevant experience
    • Experience in Fibre fault finding and maintenance including splicing of fibre
    • A good understanding of IP based protocol
    • Understanding of safety systems and demonstrated strong health & safety performance.
    • Western Australian Manual C class driver's licence
    • Very customer focussed with a collaborative approach.
    • Experience in Analog and Digital radio's
    • Experience in Mobile radio network (LTE) and security.
    • Experience in Pit Technology Solutions (i.e., Survey Technology, Wall Monitoring Solutions)
