    Description

    Talent Web are looking to speak with experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers with leadership experience to help design and delivery of key projects in various industries, including health, commercial office, education, industrial and defence across NSW.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and build consulting and technical ability in the service line and within the team to meet short- and long-term business needs.

    Undertake business development activities with clients as required and provide input to and assist with preparation of bids.
    Contribute to matching service line capability to forecasted workload, achieving utilisation, recovery and revenue targets established for the team.

    Build and maintain a team resourcing plan, staff development and training plan, and staff succession plan and contribute to those plans for the service line.

    Lead multi-disciplinary projects.
    Production of project documentation to an end client standard.
    Manage / support mechanical projects or sub-projects to achieve mechanical deliverables.
    Apply professional judgement progressively to more difficult tasks.
    Provide mentoring and training for junior staff.
    Ensure that project milestones, deadlines budget and cashflow are appropriately managed.
    Contribute to standards, templates and similar documents used to communicate mechanical requirements, deliverables and the like.
    Requirements
    Minimum 10 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering within a building services engineering consultancy.
    Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
    Member of Engineer's Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer.
    Experience leading delivery of medium to large scale projects.

    Experience in designing mechanical services in multiple sectors which may include Defence, Commercial Office, Education, Health, industrial and the like.

    Thorough understanding of NCC (National Construction Code) and relevant Australian Standards.
    A strong working knowledge with a range of design software packages including CAMEL (Heat Load Estimation), MS Office, Bluebeam.
    Team Leadership experience.
