    What you will do

    As an Associate Director in Procurement at Grosvenor Consulting with a Commonwealth Government experience and an existing network, you'll become a pivotal figure in our Procurement Practice, recognised as a procurement expert both by clients and within our organisation. This role involves growing the practice as well as aiding clients to elevate their procurement effectiveness through enhanced category strategies, stronger supplier relationships, refined negotiation tactics, and innovative sourcing methods, along with implementing solutions and new operational strategies to add significant value to their procurement activities.

    You'll be actively involved in client projects, offering your expertise in workshops and proposals, and spending considerable time on-site to fully grasp the client's needs. As a leader at Grosvenor, you'll collaborate closely with top management to drive substantial growth in our strategic procurement areas. In addition to leading client engagements, you will mentor and develop a team, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster their growth in procurement, while contributing to the collective knowledge and reputation of Grosvenor.

    In this role you will be encouraged to expand the profile and footprint of our procurement practice in the Commonwealth Government sector. This represents an opportunity to build on existing Grosvenor service offerings and innovate and build something that aligns to your own procurement experience or interests.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    > Bring high quality expertise in the Procurement domain that delivers value to client organisations across Commonwealth Government, and a variety of industries. Our procurement practice has a strong footprint in all areas of the Australian Public Sector.

    > Play a leading role in expanding our Procurement Practice by leveraging your existing networks within the Commonwealth and public sector to help it grow and improve.

    > Assisting and leading clients in Procurement Transformation; enhancing clients' procurement capabilities, processes, systems, and personnel, aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their procurement function, applicable to both private and public sectors.

    > Assisting and leading clients in procuring high-risk/high-value goods and services, addressing unique procurement challenges such as first-time acquisitions, lack of in-house capability, and managing potential reputational risks or industrial relations implications.

    > Assisting and leading post-contract activities with suppliers to ensure maximum performance, defining contract management practices, training staff, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance management frameworks.

    > Support clients in enhancing their procurement value delivery through improving category strategies, supplier partnerships, negotiations and sourcing events; designing and standing up best-in-class procurement organisations, incl. organisational process improvements, capability building, procurement systems and contract and supplier management.

    > Execute client work in a case team either as an advisor, individual contributor, or case delivery lead

    > Proactively pursue knowledge of cutting-edge research, technologies, and methodologies

    > Support presentation of key findings and recommendations to C-level executives

    > Contribute to proposals together with the senior leadership of the Procurement Practice

    > Build awareness for Grosvenor's Procurement competence across a variety of industry communities

    > Contribute to Procurement intellectual property: conduct primary research, develop and refine ideas, methodologies and tools, design learning material, capture credentials and best practice

    Qualifications and skills

    > At least 10 years of top-tier consulting experience or a combination of consulting and industry experience in a senior leadership position gained in a Commonwealth and Public Sector environment.

    > Respected and recognised Commonwealth Procurement practitioner.

    > Need to have a strong network within Commonwealth and public sector.

    > It is essential that you have deep experience in high stakes procurement, procurement transformations procurement systems and Contract and supplier management and have achieved significant and proven results with prior clients.

    > Prior experience developing procurement IP

    > A track record of project/team leadership and related achievements

    > A track record of driving and delivering high-value work, (e.g., owning the process, content and day-to-day client or team interactions)

    > Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking.
