    Senior Lecturer in Psychology/Course Director, Clinical Psychology Training

    A key role for a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Course Director of our Clinical Psychology training program has become available.

    We are seeking an experienced academic with a strong background in psychology to lead the development of our Clinical Psychology course and contribute to the teaching and research activities of the School of Psychology.

    This is an opportunity to work with a talented team of academics and clinicians to develop innovative curricula and learning materials that enhance student learning experiences.

    The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant area, as well as a proven track record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate and clinical programs.

    Suitable applicants will be those who can demonstrate sustained national and building international reputation based on significant work, and who are committed to engaging with research, community, industry, and government.

    The position may require domestic and/or international travel, and the incumbent will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead unit and course teaching teams and work collaboratively with other teaching teams in the faculty to develop effective unit/course curricula and learning materials.
    • Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into unit/course design to improve student learning experiences.
    • Lead the development and/or adoption of new innovation in curriculum design within a course.
    • Make significant contributions to seeking funding for research and creative activities.
    • Demonstrate sustained national and building international reputation based on significant work.
    • Lead the implementation of citizenship activities and represent the university at various forums.

    Selection Criteria:

    • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area.
    • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate and/or clinical programs.
    • Experience supervising fourth-year research thesis projects.
    • Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals.
    • Positive engagement with research, community, industry, and government.
