    We have multiple Mechanical Fitter roles available for one of our clients based in Wangara.

    About Your New Role

    Our client is seeking multiple Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Machinist with knowledge of rotating equipment such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. You will play a crucial role in the assembly and repair of various pumps, mechanical seals, valves, and other rotating equipment ensuring they meet high-quality standards.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Disassemble, clean, inspect and measure pumps, mechanical seals, valves, and other equipment
    • Assemble, measure, record and test pumps, mechanical seals, valves, and other equipment
    • Assemble new or overhauled equipment as per specifications
    • Modify and/or machining of components and equipment
    • Assembling machined components
    • Assembly of close coupled pumps, gearboxes and motors
    • Rotating equipment alignment to nominated tolerances using dial indicators or laser equipment
    • Adhere and follow safe work practices in performing duties and responsibilities

    About You

    • Trade qualified- Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Machinist
    • Minimum 2 years post trade experience
    • Knowledge of rotating equipment such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
    • Knowledge of mechanical seals
    • A basic understanding of bearing fits, tolerances, and applied loads
    • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team
    • Proficient in use of measuring tools and interpreting technical drawings
    • An eye for detail and a commitment to highest quality standards
    • Willingness to work overtime
    • Current Drivers Licence
    • Forklift Licence
    • Complete a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening
