    Commissioning Lead

    About the Role:

    The Commissioning Lead will oversee the commissioning process for various electrical systems, ensuring all equipment is tested to meet high safety and quality standards. This site-based role requires leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.

    This exciting opportunity is part of our client's large-scale project delivery in the Pilbara region. The Commissioning Lead will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning of critical infrastructure, including 220kV substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar Farms, and Power Stations.

    This fast-paced, high-profile project offers a unique chance to work with specialized high-voltage equipment in a dynamic environment. We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead to join our team on a temporary basis, based in East Perth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the commissioning process for electrical systems, ensuring high safety and quality standards.
    • Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.
    • Oversee the commissioning of critical infrastructure, including 220kV substations, BESS, Solar Farms, and Power Stations.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 7 years of experience in commissioning electrical equipment within the Electrical Utility or Mining industries.
    • Cert IV in Electrical - Instrumentation (mandatory).
    • Proven experience in secondary injection testing of Siemens and SEL protection relays.
    • Extensive experience with Omicron test equipment and IEC61850 schemes.
    • Proven experience in testing primary electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, HV/LV switchboards, transformers, and HV busbars.
    • Proven leadership and experience managing commissioning teams.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an Advanced Diploma of Engineering (or equivalent Electrical Trade Qualifications).
    • Front Line Leadership and Management training is desirable.
    • Project Management experience is a plus.

    Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
