    Description

    This role is responsible for providing business analyst activities for the Terminal Efficiencies Project. This role is responsible for a consultation to senior management and business owners and serves as a BA expert. This role works closely with other Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and other team members. This role is also responsible to ensure that project solutions meet the needs of the business and is delivered within the acceptance criteria.

    Scope/Tasks:

    • Partner with the business and technology groups to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into effective system and technical requirements and specifications.
    • Represent business requirements in the application design process.
    • Laisse between the business and technical teams.
    • Facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholder groups.
    • Support the business strategy and project requirements.
    • Create business processes, use cases, and test cases.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience gathering, documenting and clarifying requirements from multiple stakeholders using best practice methods and tools.
    • Experience with Modeling techniques: Object Orientation analysis, UML (e.g. Use Cases, Activity Diagrams).
    • Experience writing requirements for custom-developed applications including User Experience process.
    • In-depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile).
    • Experience with Reservations and Point of Sale applications including financial processes.
    • Experience with business processes, developing/recommending efficiencies and reducing bottlenecks across end-to-end cross-departmental processes.
    • Knowledge of and experience using BABOK on custom development and/or package software implementation project.
    • Excellent analytical skills

    • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff and management.
    • Demonstrated experience delivering prompt, efficient, quality service.
    • Anticipates and identifies end-user needs, drives towards results and ensures that high-quality standards are met.
    • Ability to break work into manageable parts, assessing the priority and time required; develops detailed plans, completes tasks in a logical order, and delivers work products on time.
    • Demonstrated ability to create good relationships and confidently works to build trust with stakeholders; successfully manages both internal and external relationships.
    • Ability to look at the big picture of the overall project and to break tasks down into manageable deliverables.
    • Proven commitment to quality.

    Education:

    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business or an IT-related discipline.
    • Project Management certification would be an asset.
    • Business Analysis, Quality or Technical certifications would be an asset.
